T La Rock
One of the first actual pieces of vinyl I owned was a single by T La Rock from 1984 called 'It's Yours'. Little did I know it would stand as one of the classic Hip Hop singles of all time.
Not only would it feature production of Rick Rubin (recorded in his NYU dorm room apparently) and would serve as the first Def Jam/PartyTime single.
