Public Broadcasting Wolf

Several DJ's are now experimenting with video DJ ing, and using music videos and actual custom animation for their sets. I'm putting together some for Kutmasta Kurt. Here's an example of something I built for Peanut Butter Wolf:

Subliminal Wolverine

Thumbing through the film listings in the paper, the ad for the atrocious X-Men Origins:Wolverine movie caught my eye. Can anyone here spot the fascist symbol subliminally etched into Hugh Jackman, or is it just me?

He was one of my favorite characters growing up, and, I even had the incredible luck of picking up a copy of Hulk 181 for 50 cents, at a local flea market when I was a kid. It's appreciated in value considerably since!

This was an added page to Advance Knight, that was intended to drastically change the storyline. The story had always needed to have things ratcheted up a bit, and, any sort of death/homicide element can add to that, though this was meant to be a background story.

16 Words (2007)

In August of 2007, I got a call from David Rosner, who I knew through a friend of a friend. It turns out he was not only a music industry veteran, but, also the husband of Margo Guryan. Margo had been a prominent vocalist in the 60's-70's, and, had some new tracks she was planning to release. One of which, "16 Words", was an ode to the now infamous 16 word speech George Bush gave:



We met up and talked about ideas. I had mentioned using Monty Python, collage,style images, to create a 'sideshow' of imagery relating to the lead up to war. They had wanted it to be real specific, but, I convinced them to be more subtle, and, have the imagery be open to interpretation.

The results were far from what I'd hoped, as, we had 4 weeks to complete it, but, the Rosners were happy with, and, even got positive feedback from Joe Wilson, whom was actually involved in the '16 Words' scandal.

New Print!

I recently painted this for a friends gift. It's supposed to be Bruce and The Est Band, which was tough figuring there was 7 plus members. I just widdled it down to the main performers, and went fro m there. Below are the sletches I based the final print off of.
